| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to examine the current situation and challenges of school counseling based on a series of my papers entitled "On Creating School Counseling" that were published in the last twenty years. It is believed that awareness and understanding of school counselors have improved. Our aims of supporting students who are unable to attend school has changed from returning them to the classroom to providing them with suitable environment for learning and assisting them in leading socially independent lives. The outbreak of COVID-19 has had a great influence on school and school counseling. This situation has necessitated the application of crisis management and mental care techniques that have been used in past disasters. Online learning can change the concept/definition of school non-attendance (Futoko). We are required to be creative because situations and challenges of school counseling are constantly changing. School counseling will continue to change, and is expected to affect various activities for psychological support of students in Japan. | |||||
