| 内容記述 | The purpose of this research is to describe the transformation of ESD school practices from the starting point of when ESD was introduced in Japan. For this purpose, this research has analyzed the records of the ESD teacher training organized by a city's board of education. The target of this research is the Kesennuma city board of education, which has the longest history of enhancing ESD from the beginning of the Decade of Education for sustainable development in 2005. Through analyzing the records from 2009-2020, this research describes the local, regional, and global action and movements affected to ESD practices in Kesennuma, such as the Introduction of the UNESCO Associated School, disaster risk reduction education after the East Japan earthquake and tsunami, the promotion of global human resources, promotion of active learning and inquiry-based learning , UNESCO's Global Action Program, and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals . This research also considers how to improve current teacher training to enhance these educational methods and contents. This research will contribute to our understanding of the history and process of enhancing ESD school practices in Japan. | |||||
