The results showed that flicking a smartphone while walking had the same effect on walking motion as while performing a calculation task. This result was considered to be due to the posture of the flicking operation of the smartphone. In addition, the results were interpreted as a result of the execution of cognitive thoughts such as recalling the names of vegetables. The effect of the flicking task on walking motion was found to be significant even during a short time (20 seconds). Walking in daily life is considered longer and more complex than the duration of the present study.
