| 内容記述 | 語彙学習は第二言語習得において重要な要素である。第二言語の語彙学習に関する多くの研究では、語彙学習を向上させるための鍵となる認知的概念の一つが処理の深さ（Depth of Processing, DOP）であること、そして想起効果（Repeated Retrieval Effect, RRE）や精緻化エンコーディング（Elaborate Encoding, EE）など、DOPに関連するタスクが重要であることが明らかになっている。本研究の予備調査では、これら二つのDOPタスクのうち、RREの方法を用いたグループ、EEの方法を用いたグループ、両タスクを組み合わせた方法を用いたグループという3つの学生グループを比較し、それらが第二言語の英語語彙学習の向上に与える効果を調べた。その予備的な結果、両タスクを組み合わせたグループが他のグループより優れた成績を収めたことが明らかになった。この結果は、二つのDOPタスクを組み合わせた方法が、学生の第二言語の語彙習得を促進するのに有効であることの可能性を示唆し、また、この結果を確認するためにさらなる研究の実験設計を改訂するための洞察も提供している。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | Vocabulary learning is a crucial component of second language acquisition. Numerous studies in the field of second language vocabulary learning demonstrate that one key cognitive concept to improve vocabulary learning is depth of processing (DOP) and tasks related to it such as repeated retrieval effect (RRE) and elaborate encoding (EE) tasks. In this preliminary study, three groups of students were compared when using these two types of DOP tasks or a combination of to investigate their effects on improving L2 English vocabulary learning. The results revealed that the group using a combination of RRE and EE tasks outperformed the EE group. The preliminary results suggest the combination of DOP tasks may be effective in promoting students' second language vocabulary acquisition as well as providing insights for revising the experimental design for future studies to confirm the preliminary results. | |||||||
