The media to be understood are texts (novels) and manga. In this report, we analyzed the content of the findings obtained through the novelization and comparison reading activities, and verified the effectiveness of these activities. The analysis of the contents of the descriptions was conducted by coding the contents of the descriptions according to their types. The results showed that the novelization and comparison reading activities generated awareness of media characteristics, which supports the effectiveness of the novelization and comparison reading activities in the previous study. In addition to the preceding practice, we were also able to confirm that many other types of awareness were obtained in this practice. The most common was the “amplitude of imagination/interpretation” of “reception/function”.
