| 内容記述 | 本論の目的は、19世紀フランスの哲学者シャルル・ルヌヴィエが「現象主義」という考え方のもとで展開している議論の枠組みとその論理とを明らかにすることにある。 「現象主義」においては「認識を諸現象の諸法則に還元すること」が目指される。この「諸現象の諸法則」とは、経験とともに見出されるがそれ自体は経験に先立つような、カント的な意味でのアプリオリなもののことであり、ルヌヴィエはこの意味での「法則」を「カテゴリー」とも言い換えているが、この「カテゴリー」は彼の哲学を特徴づける概念である。 ルヌヴィエは一貫して私たちの認識を超越した「絶対的なもの」を批判し、実体や無限といった概念を形而上学的として厳しく批判する。彼は認識可能なものをすべて「表象」として捉え、これが関係的な構造をもつと考える。「表象」はルヌヴィエの「現象主義」の核心をなす概念である。そして諸現象は「表象」という関係的構造をそなえており、いくつかの「カテゴリー」に従って私たちに与えられるのだ、と彼は規定している。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this essay is to clarify the framework and logic of the argument developed by Charles Renouvier, 19th century French philosopher, under the concept of “phenomenalism". Phenomenalism aims to “reduce cognition to the laws of phenomena". These “laws of phenomena" are a priori laws in Kantian sense, found with experience but prior to experience. Renouvier also uses the term “laws" in this sense as “categories," and these “categories" are the concepts that characterize his philosophy. Renouvier consistently criticizes the “absolute" that transcends our perception, and harshly criticizes concepts such as substance and infinity as metaphysical. He sees everything recognizable as a “representation" which has a relational structure. This “representation" is the key concept of his “phenomenalism". He stipulates that phenomena have a relational structure of “representation" and are given to us according to several “categories". | |||||||
