本稿は、これまで小学校３年生の教科書に掲載されてきた教材「おにたのぼうし」（あまんきみこ）に着目し、小学校高学年の「読むこと」の学習に活用できるのではないかという考えのもと、宮城教育大学附属小学校の６年生を対象とした授業実践を行い、その成果を報告するものである。「おにたのぼうし」は、「空所」の多いテクストである点や、物語の語りや構造に目を向けて解釈することが求められる点で、児童が自ら問いを立てそれを解決しながら主体的に読み解いてゆく学びを展開しやすく、また多様な解釈の交流も生み出しやすい。その教材特性を踏まえて、評論文を作成して読み合うという言語活動を構想し、「物語が語ろうとすることを解き明かそう」という単元目標を設定して全12時間の授業を行った。その成果の検討から、この教材が小学校学習指導要領の教科国語に示された高学年の「読むこと」の指導事項に対応した学習に有効であること、「主体的・対話的で深い学び」の実現を標榜する「令和の日本型学校教育」に適していること等を確認した。 |

This paper focuses on “Onita no Boshi”(Onita's Hat) by AMAN Kimiko, which has been included in textbooks for 3rd graders in elementary school, and reports on the results of a classroom practice with 6th graders at the Elementary School attached to Miyagi University of Education, based on the idea that it could be used for learning “reading”in the upper grades of elementary school. “Onita no Boshi”is a text with many “empty spaces”and requires students to interpret the story by paying attention to the narrative and structure of the story. Therefore, this material makes it easy for children to develop their own learning through independent reading and interpretation by setting and solving their own questions, and creating a variety of interpretations. Based on the characteristics of this material, we designed a language activity in which students write critical essays and read them with each other, and conducted 12 hours of classes with the unit objective of clarifying what the story is trying to tell us. Through examination of the results, we confirmed that this teaching material is effective for learning that corresponds to the teaching of “reading”in the upper grades of elementary school, as stipulated in the Japanese language subject of the Courses of Study, and that it is suitable for “Japanese-style school education in Reiwa period,”which advocates the realization of “independent, interactive, and in-depth learning.” |
