| 内容記述 | 本論の目的は希望のもつアポリア的構造を明らかにすることである。 希望の対象の実現について一定以上の確かさを感じ取ることができる場合は、希望は期待となってしまう。したがって希望が希望であり続けるためには、希望は根本的に不確かなものでなければならない。しかしその実現にまったく確信が持てないならばやはり希望は成り立たない。 希望がそうしたものだとするならば、その対象の実現の可能性が不可能性に近づくほどに、希望としての性格が際立つことになる。こうした構造は、デリダが贈与について述べたアポリア的構造と同型のものである。贈与が贈与として認知されるならば贈与は交換となり、贈与ではなくなってしまうのと同様に、希望の対象の実現が確信となればそれは期待と変わらなくなり、もはや希望ではなくなってしまう。つまり希望は、それがかなえられないという不可能性を自らの内に含んでいるという意味で、アポリア的構造を持つのである。 |

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to clarify the aporetic structure of hope. Hope becomes an expectation when it is possible to perceive a certain degree of certainty about realization of its object. Thus, for hope to remain hope, it must be fundamentally uncertain. However, if there is no certainty at all about its realization, hope cannot be hope any more. If hope is such a thing, then the closer the possibility of the realization of the object approaches impossibility, the more its character as hope will stand out. Such a structure is isomorphic to the aporetic structure that Derrida described for gift. If gift is recognized as gift, it becomes an exchange and ceases to be gift, just as if the realization of the object of hope becomes certain, it ceases to be hope and becomes expectation. In other words, hope has an aporetic structure in the sense that it contains within itself its impossibility of not being fulfilled. |
